The 2002 season starts out with the new ownership taking the reigns and immediately firing Duquette and Kerrigan. Mike Port is the general manager and Grady Little is hired as manager.

Some new players are with us like Johnny Damon, Ricky Henderson, and John Burkett. Nomar, Pedro, and Veritek are back from injuries so what's not to like about this team.
